Light snow and slippery roads in Thuringia
People in Thuringia can expect light snow and slippery roads on Thursday. According to the German Weather Service, the day will begin with a clearing of the clouds - with a maximum temperature of one degree and minus one degree in the mountains. In the morning, however, the clouds will thicken again and there will be light snowfall. In the southern foothills of the Thuringian Forest it will snow for longer periods.
In the night to Friday, the sky will be overcast and it will also snow lightly. Temperatures will drop to minus six degrees. Friday will remain overcast with light snowfall. The maximum temperature will be zero degrees, in the mountains minus two degrees.
Thuringia's winter weather continues to impact travel, with light snow expected to persist into Friday night. Despite the German Weather Service predicting a brief clearing on Thursday, temperatures will plummet to minus six degrees in the night.
