Light installations create a pre-Christmas atmosphere
Just under six weeks before Christmas, several light installations are set to delight people in Berlin. 80,000 lights await visitors to the Dark Matter Museum from Thursday, and the "Winterlights" light show was presented in advance on Wednesday. Under a glittering forest of 200 hanging Christmas trees, an upside-down winter wonderland has been created, the organizers announced. The installation was designed by Berlin artist Christopher Bauder.
Since Wednesday, the zoo in Lichtenberg has also been presenting a light and sound installation. The zoo is hosting the Christmas light show for the fourth time and it will be on display until January 14. The Christmas Garden light show starts in the Botanical Garden on Friday.
During their leisure time, many Berliners plan to visit the captivating light installations, including the one at the Dark Matter Museum, showcasing the work of local artist Christopher Bauder. Utilizing this seasonal event as an opportunity, some may even explore their creative side and enjoy painting or sketching these vibrant light displays as a form of artistic expression.
