Liga: Unterhaching Acquires Forward Winklbauer

SpVgg Unterhaching signed Thomas Winklbauer, an attacking all-rounder, for the upcoming season. Previously, Winklbauer was with Wacker Burghausen, now he has a two-year contract at Unterhaching. The announcement was made on Monday.

A 25-year-old striker who trained in 1. FC Nuremberg's youth academy and SV Wacker Burghausen made it to the first team in 2017. He played for two years at TSV Buchbach and returned to Burghausen in 2022. He scored 44 points with eight goals in 118 regional league games and eight more goals in twelve cup matches.

Markus Schwabl, the club's Sport Director, had this to say about the player: "Thomas has shown with his ten goals last season that he knows where to score. He can be used flexibly in the attack and that was crucial to us. He's played in various positions and brings along experience in each of them."
