Leverkusen aim to secure progress in the Europa League

Bayer Leverkusen want to continue their impressive run of success in the Europa League. The Bundesliga leaders, who are still unbeaten in competitive matches this season, can secure a place in the next round with a win at FK Karabakh Agdam in Azerbaijan on matchday four. Bayer won the first leg in Leverkusen with a commanding 5:1. Coach Xabi Alonso will be without regular central defender Edmond Tapsoba for the upcoming match in Baku this Thursday (18:45/RTL+). The 24-year-old is out due to a hand operation.

Bayer Leverkusen's victory in the first leg of the Europa League against FK Karabakh Agdam has placed them in a strong position. With another win in Azerbaijan, Bayer Leverkusen could secure their advancement in the Europa League, overcoming FK Karabakh Agdam in this UEFA competition.
