Letter carrier allegedly disposed of almost 1000 letters
A previously unknown letter carrier is said to have disposed of around 1000 letters in clothing containers and garbage cans in Munich. According to the police on Sunday, a local resident witnessed the incident on Friday afternoon and alerted the police. The officers then discovered the letters still to be delivered in the Munich district of Neuhausen. The criminal investigation department is now investigating the violation of postal and telecommunications secrecy and is looking for witnesses who can provide information about the incident.
In this uppermost region of Bavaria, known as Upper Bavaria, the recent crime of letter disposal has sparked curiosity among residents. The alleged offender, a letter carrier, disposed of nearly a thousand letters, a damaging act that underlined the importance of postal and telecommunications secrecy.
