German Football League - Leipzig's signing of Simons proves to be the right move for the "Better Player."
Xavi Simons describes his time at RB Leipzig as totally worthwhile. "My decision to join them on loan has been a success," he claims. "I reached new heights there, due to the high level of intensity we played at."
The Netherlands international was sent off to the Bundesliga club by Paris Saint-Germain without an option to buy. At present, Leipzig's sporting director Rouven Schröder is looking to renegotiate a loan, since a purchase is not possible. Simons played as a permanent starter in 32 Bundesliga games and found the back of the net eight times, while setting up 13 more. The next encounter between Simons and PSG will be at the Euros, when the Dutch take on the French on June 21 in Leipzig.
