RB Leipzig is still searching for reinforcements in the heart of their midfield during the final transfer window. According to coach Marco Rose, "It's an area we need to continuously monitor." Rose stressed that they won't be making any "ridiculous" moves. With Xaver Schlager's current knee injury, there are only three skilled players available for the two midfield roles. Benjamin Henrichs could potentially provide an additional option.

Schlager sustained a serious knee injury in May and is progressing well with his recovery. Despite this, as Rose pointed out, "We're aware that we still have a couple of months to go before he's fit for training and match play." Niclas Seiwald and Kevin Kampl are battling it out for the spot next to the established Amadou Haidara. For the Bundesliga opener against VfL Bochum (3:15 PM/Sky) on Saturday, Seiwald seems to be the preferred choice.

Marco Rose, the RB Leipzig coach, mentioned that they need to keep an eye on strengthening their midfield. Despite Xaver Schlager's progress with his knee injury, Rose highlighted that they have some time before he can return to action.
