German Soccer League - Leipzig inks deal with Freiburg's Hoffmann.
Giovanna Hoffmann, a 25-year-old player from SC Freiburg, has officially joined the RB Leipzig team. The news came out on Tuesday when the club announced that Hoffmann has signed a deal to stay until 2026. She previously played for Werder Bremen, where she scored 26 goals in 63 games.
The Sporting Director of RB Leipzig, Viola Odebrecht, shared her excitement about the new signing. According to her, "Giovanna is an experienced Bundesliga player who brings more power to our attack. She's quick, making her a threat in the striker position and on the wings. She's also a great scorer, which is a bonus. I'm confident that her strong personality will be an asset to the team even off the field."
