Commerce in retail goods - Leipzig Consum exceeds 200 million euros in revenue for the first time.
Member sales reportedly contributed over ten percent to the total revenue of Konsum Leipzig, reaching approximately 21 million euros. This figure is a notable 11% increase from the previous year. It's also revealed that members spent approximately twice as much as the average customer per purchase. Their annual results - excluding staff bonuses and member refunds - were over 2 million euros.
Just before June, the membership count surpassed 30,000. It's believed that the introduction of the consumption app has played a significant role in driving this increase. Konsum Leipzig currently oversees approximately 60 largely small food retail stores spread across Leipzig, Halle, and the surrounding areas. Although they offer an online delivery service, a tiny portion of their total sales comes from it.
