Luca Sirch is the first new addition to 1. FC Kaiserslautern's roster for the upcoming second division football season. He is a midfielder transferring from Regionalligiste 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig. The team issued an announcement on Sunday, failing to disclose the length of his contract. Sirch has netted in a total of 17 goals from 109 league games while with the Leipzigers.

Thomas Hengen, the club's managing director, commented on the signing, stating, "We've been keeping a close eye on his progress, and we believe he has what it takes to make the leap from the Regionalliga to our second division lineup. His versatility is noteworthy as he can play competently in both central defense and central midfield."
