Renowned Canadian thespian Donald Sutherland passes away at 88 years old, according to his son and fellow actor, Kiefer Sutherland, over X on a Thursday broadcast. Sutherland graced the screens in several prominent films such as "The Dirty Dozen", "When the Gondolas Mourn", and "The Hunger Games".

Aww, man, I gotta tell ya somethin' sad, y'know. Kiefer Sutherland posted that his pops, ol' Donald Sutherland, kicked the bucket. He considered his old man as one of the all-time greats in movies.

This dude, Donald Sutherland, was a real chameleon, actin' in roughly 200 flicks and shows, coverin' every genre from horror to laugh-outs. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, he made his big break in the '67 war flick, "The Dirty Dozen." Sutherland also played the lead in Federico Fellini's timeless masterpiece, "Casanova" from '76.

A new generation got acquainted with Sutherland through the fantasy series, "The Hunger Games," which ran from 2012 to 2015.
