Constitutional protection report - Left-wing extremist scene grows in Saxony-Anhalt
According to the Constitutional Protection in Saxony-Anhalt, the left-extremist scene in the state is growing. In total, the Constitutional Protection assigned 680 persons to the left-extremist scene in the past year, the Interior Ministry in Magdeburg announced.
This is an increase of 13% compared to the year 2022. The growth can be attributed to a relatively dynamic development within the left-extremist spectrum, which is not violence-oriented. The Interior Ministry and the Constitutional Protection will present the new report for the year 2023 at noon (14.00 hrs).
The Protection of the Constitution in Saxony-Anhalt is committed to mitigating the rising threat of left-extremism, as highlighted in their annual report.
