Third-tier league - Left-back Schumacher joins Saarbrücken.

Saarbrücken 1. FC signs Till Schumacher as their new defender for the next season. This 26-year-old, originally from Essen, played for Austria Klagenfurt, a top-tier Austrian club. The third-division team from Saarland didn't share details about the length of his contract on Tuesday.

Sport Director Jürgen Luginger expressed their excitement, stating that after the retirement of Marcel Gaus, acquiring a seasoned left-back was essential. Schumacher was observed by the team for quite a while, who noticed other clubs were ushering interest in him. They're thrilled that he ultimately opted to join their team.

Schumacher had been a part of Borussia Dortmund's youth academy and previously played in the Czech Republic. His move to Austria took place in 2021.
