A group of criminals are thought to have fabricated salary slips and bank statements, using them to procure luxurious vehicles like Porsche, Maybach, and Range Rover through personal leasing. "It seems like the leasing fees were not paid as they were supposed to be." These extravagant cars are claimed to have been sold to clients in both the inner and outer parts of Europe, with Dubai being a popular destination. The supposed mastermind of the operation has reportedly fled to Dubai, where he's said to be managing the group's affairs from. An international warrant for his arrest has been issued. A Dutch organization is also suspected of ordering and picking up these luxury cars.
According to investigators, since one of the suspects resided in a well-guarded villa and there were signs that the perpetrators were being armed, special police units were called in. However, the individual apprehended isn't the one accused of the crime. The total amount of damage caused is yet to be determined by the prosecutor's office. The investigation continues.

The suspect living in the villa was believed to be part of Emmerich's network, but it turned out to be a false lead. The leasing company from North Rhine-Westphalia, where Moers and Wesel are located, has also become a subject of investigation. The MG Rover Group has distanced itself from any involvement in this leasing car fraud case. The police are now focusing on tracked down transactions in Düsseldorf, known for its car dealerships. The Oberhausen police department is leading the investigation, as they believe the crime originated from there. Despite the complex operations, the case is gaining momentum, with more arrests and seizures expected.
