The head of the CDU faction, Gordon Schneider, is calling for more assistance for the healthcare industry in Rhineland-Palatinate from the state government. He stated in the "17:30 Sat.1 live" summer interview on Wednesday: "We're currently seeing a chaotic collapse of hospitals in the state." The responsibility for hospital planning lies with the state, and they cannot wait for the national hospital reform to take place before addressing the remaining issues with the remaining funds. Instead, a stable foundation is required in the region, and it's disappearing right now.

Health Minister Clemens Hoch revealed in the autumn that Rhineland-Palatinate's financially strained hospitals would get 275 million euros for stabilization by the end of the year, which is faster than initially planned. However, this won't replace "adequate hospital financing from the federal government," as Hoch emphasized at the time.
