- Law enforcement vehicle meets with collision with another car - four individuals sustaining injuries.
Three law enforcement officials experienced harm in Herten, en route to a disturbance. They were transported to the medical facility via emergency vehicle, according to the authorities in Recklinghausen. The 25-year-old officers were traveling in a cruiser which collided with a private vehicle at a crossroads during the night. A 75-year-old individual in this vehicle also sustained injuries and was sent to the hospital.
The operator of the cruiser allegedly had the lights and sirens activated. At the crossroads, he intended to proceed straight, crossing the intersection at a moderate pace. The 71-year-old occupant of the vehicle coming from the left also aimed to go straight and managed to avoid injury. The intersection was cordoned off for several hours post-accident.
The three injured officials were from the local Police department. Upon arriving at the hospital, they were attended to by medical personnel.
