- Law enforcement personnel step into a brawl and suffer assaults
In Berlin-Kreuzberg, two civilian law enforcers jumped into a sizable skirmish situation. Post-intervention, these officers became the targets of aggression themselves. The incident occurred on a Saturday night when the authorities got involved when over ten individuals were engaged in a physical altercation at Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Park, as per the official statement. After maintaining some tranquility, the officers attempted to apprehend a man, but he retaliated, leading to the discharge of pepper spray from a police weapon. Consequently, numerous bystanders suffered temporary eye discomfort. Subsequently, several other men assaulted the officers, only for additional law enforcement officials to arrive and defuse the situation. The intoxicated 23-year-old was subsequently examined for alcohol-related impairment and transported away by the authorities.
