International arrest order issued by European authorities - Law enforcement officials detain a 33-year-old individual.
A 33-year-old individual, sought by European authorities through an arrest warrant, has been nabbed by the German cops at the German-Dutch border. The German authorities revealed this on Monday, mentioning that the Belgian justice system is chasing him for his involvement in drug-related offenses. This fellow hitchhiked into Germany in a vehicle on the A 30, making the crossover from Sunday night to Monday morning. The vehicle was pulled over and examined at Bad Bentheim thanks to the stepped-up border patrol surveillance at that time. Once the arrest warrant was served by a judge, the 33-year-old was apprehended. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Oldenburg will handle the extradition proceedings to Belgium. As part of the European Football Championship, the German authorities are diligently monitoring all German Schengen internal borders until July 19. Their focus is on identifying and stopping violent offenders from entering the country.
