In a parking lot situated in Groß-Gerau, a 65-year-old individual intimidated law enforcement officials with a firearm at approximately 6 PM. He then attempted to escape by getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. In response, the officers discharged their weapons, targeting the vehicle's tires to bring the situation under control. Multiple gunshots were reportedly fired, as per a collective statement issued by the prosecution and police department. Ultimately, the man was apprehended. He and two officers were reported to have sustained minor injuries during the incident. Post-arrest, the firearm was confiscated. The criminal investigative team is currently probing the case, seeking more information concerning the incident's specifics.

The 65-year-old individual tried to flee the scene in another vehicle, which was also targeted by the officers. Later, during the investigation, other vehicles in the parking lot were examined for any potential evidence.
