The climate conditions reported. - Law enforcement officers maintain vigilance amidst ongoing torrential downpours and floods.

During the past two days, the police have been extremely busy in northern Swabia due to heavy flooding. This area alone has experienced around 50 incidents, most of which involved flooded basements and cellars. The fire department took over many of the calls as the situation demanded. In southwestern Swabia, the police responded to "numerous" incidents - the exact number, however, was not available. The roads were blocked with fallen trees and water, and a subway in Puchheim (part of the Fürstenfeldbruck district) was flooded.

In the neighboring Upper Bavaria North region, police had to attend to around 60 incidents, with major efforts required in the districts of Starnberg and Fürstenfeldbruck. The saturated soil and water on the roads caused several cars to be displaced or overturned, and in some cases, trees even fell. An additional 11 incidents were reported in Lower Bavaria due to flooded roads. Fortunately, no major police-related interventions were needed in Upper Palatinate, but the fire department was called upon extensively.

The floods also caused multiple accidents on the A9 motorway. A 47-year-old driver failed to maintain control of his vehicle, crashing into a car with a 40-year-old man, his wife, and their two-year-old daughter after the 40-year-old had to brake suddenly. The wife was sent to the hospital, though her injuries were thankfully minor. The damages were estimated at approximately 45,000 euros.

In Kipfenberg (within the Eichstätt district), a 41-year-old driver lost control of his car, likely due to driving too quickly on the wet road, resulting in minor injuries. His family members, including a 38-year-old man and his children, were also involved in another accident when the latter lost control at Reichertshofen (a part of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district), though they were only slightly hurt. The driver had not slowed down naturally, despite the wet and slippery conditions on the road.
