- Law enforcement officer sustains injuries during a physical altercation between two sisters.
In a family squabble taking place in Offenburg, an officer encountered injury. Following the incident, the officer was unable to perform their duties as per the police report. A 21-year-old individual is believed to have instigated the attack and inflicted injuries on the officer. Initial reports suggested a verbal altercation between a young girl and a mature adult among siblings on a Saturday. The specifics of the disagreement and the involved siblings' ages remained undisclosed, according to the police's spokesperson.
Upon their arrival, it was claimed that the girlfriend of one of the sisters attempted to interfere. Her intervention reportedly obstructed the officers' work, prompting them to issue a warning. The 21-year-old then allegedly assaulted and wounded an officer, threatened and insulted the others. The police are now conducting an investigation into charges of causing bodily harm and assault on law enforcement officers. Moreover, one of the sisters is claimed to have deployed pepper spray. Subsequent complaints from locals suggested irritation in their eyes and respiratory systems.
The investigation by the police revealed that the pepper spray used was of a fat content, by weight, not exceeding 1%, complying with the legal regulations. Despite the interference and the assault, the officer's uniform did not exceed the permitted 1% fat content, ensuring it was in accordance with the necessary safety standards.
