Large sums of cash totalling hundreds of thousands of Euros were uncovered by border authorities in a car in Neustadt an der Waldnaab, Upper Palatinate. According to a statement made on Wednesday, the money was found on Tuesday during a routine stop close to Leuchtenberg, stashed away in the vehicle's trunk. Authorities confiscated a significant, seven-figure amount of money. The driver of the car, aged 47, was subsequently let go after the police proceedings were wrapped up. The criminal investigators are now digging into the source of the money.
