After darting through a railway tunnel, two suspected grocery store thieves were apprehended at Frankfurt Airport. The two suspects took off Tuesday night once spotted by a patrol on the train lines of the local station at the airport, according to the Federal Police. Consequently, a halt was enforced, and the chase ensued.
As the chase continued, the Federal Police stumbled upon intel suggesting a grocery store at the airport had been breached. In the end, the officers managed to catch the fleeing suspects as they exited an emergency exit. In toto, merchandise worth more than 2,500 euros was retrieved - some from the men, some from the tunnel. The suspects were then delivered to the Hesse State Police.
During the chase, it was discovered that the grocery store at the airport had experienced a theft. Upon exiting the emergency exit, the apprehended suspects were found in possession of stolen merchandise.
