- Law enforcement agents sustain minor injuries during a vehicle inspection.
A 46-year-old individual is under scrutiny for harming two law enforcement officials in Walldorf (Rhein-Neckar district). One officer had to cut her shift short and visited a doctor on her own, as the police spokesperson revealed. Earlier, the officers had observed the man's jittery and suspicious demeanor while cruising on the A5, according to the police reports. It was later discovered that the man had taken his 8-year-old daughter without her mother's approval.
During the stop on Saturday, the 46-year-old attempted to secure his ride by locking it up and attempting to start the engine. The officers managed to unlock the vehicle through an open window and hauled the man out. He then reportedly assaulted the two officers with precise kicks, requiring "precise strength" to control and subdue him, as indicated. Luckily, the 8-year-old remained unhurt and was handed back to her mother. Investigations against her father are currently in progress.
After the assault, the police reported an increase in similar incidents in the Walldorf area, highlighting a potential rise in local crime. The prosecutor announced stern charges against the man for his violent actions towards the officers.
