The authorities caught a 47-year-old man after the theft of a car previously reported stolen in Thuringia. The injured officer was forced to finish his shift and obtain medical attention.

A few hours later, cops from Saxony and Brandenburg stopped another vehicle at the Cottbus-West autobahn exit. The arrest of the 16-year-old driver and the seizing of the second car took place during a routine traffic check at the Cottbus-West autobahn exit. The incident underscored the importance of interregional cooperation between police forces in Saxony and Brandenburg.

Despite strong evidence linking these incidents to organized crime, investigators are yet to uncover substantial evidence to justify charges in Thuringia. Meanwhile, the County of Elbe-Elster police are conducting their own investigations in the area.
