- Law enforcement agencies confiscate weapons and illicit substances in the expansion region of Gerau.
Raids conducted in Hesse and Lower Franconia on a Tuesday led to the seizure of arms and substantial quantities of illicit substances, resulting in the detention of a 36-year-old individual. The individual is suspected of illegally dealing in weapons, firearms, and narcotics, along with having connections to child pornography content, as stated by authorities. Furthermore, he is suspected of setting up concealed weapon or smuggling stashes in automobiles.
A warrant for his arrest had already been issued, and he is now in custody. In his personal workshop located in Groß-Gerau, the authorities discovered several kilograms of illegal drugs, including amphetamine and methamphetamine crystals, along with a fully loaded revolver, bullets, and various gun slings. Additionally, they secured a suspected smuggling vehicle.
Besides the 36-year-old, the task force also apprehended four other suspected accomplices believed to have been involved in the criminal activities. Past investigations of encrypted communication data provided leads. Search operations also took place in Darmstadt, Weiterstadt (Darmstadt-Dieburg district), and the Bavarian town of Alzenau.
The 36-year-old's arrest was handled by the Police due to the warrant issued against him. During the search at his workshop in Groß-Gerau, several illegal drugs and a loaded revolver were found, necessitating the involvement of the Police.
