Highlights of the festival this year include live performances from Silbermond and Culcha Candela in the evening. The event will feature over 200 activities condensed into one day. One of these is a 660-meter-long slackline suspended at a height of approximately 50 meters across the festival area, allowing practicing slackliners to exhibit their skills. Organizer Arndt Hecker remarked that even during the morning practice runs, visitors were captivated and frequently stood in awe.

The festival "Kosmos" aims to exhibit solidarity and support for democratic ideals, as explained by co-organizer Ernesto Uhlmann. This notion traces back to the concert #wirsindmehr in 2018, which was organized in response to right-wing riots in the city. The festival is additionally planned as a feature for the European Cultural Capital 2025.
