3rd league - Late equalizer: Waldhof's winless streak continues

SV Waldhof Mannheim were unable to end their negative streak in the 3rd Football League and remain stuck in the relegation zone. In the 1:1 (1:0) draw against FC Ingolstadt on Saturday, coach Rüdiger Rehm's team conceded an equalizer in stoppage time. Waldhof are now without a win in nine league games.

Ingolstadt's Pascal Testroet (90.+1) dashed Mannheim's hopes of a home win in front of 6056 spectators, which should have brought some calm to the surroundings. After equalizing, the Waldhöfer were also unlucky that a shot from Bentley Baxter Bahn bounced off the bottom edge of the crossbar and onto the goal line.

In the first half, Kennedy Okpala (11) had made it 1:0 for the hosts with a back-heel. However, coach Rehm 's team then failed to add another goal against his former club. The 45-year-old remains under fire for the draw. The draw did not bring Waldhof any closer to meeting patron Bernd Beetz's demand to have left the relegation zone by the end of the calendar year.
