DFB-Pokaö - Last Bavarian club: Nuremberg aiming for the quarter-finals

1. FC Nürnberg wants to be the last Bavarian soccer club to survive the winter in the DFB Cup. Coach Cristian Fiél's team is aiming to reach the quarter-finals at second-division rivals 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Tuesday (18:00). The Franconians had already made it through to the last eight last season. On that occasion, however, they lost at home to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.

The task at Betzenberg will be difficult for the "Club", as the team is unsettled after two heavy league defeats in a row. Kaiserslautern also have a new coach in Dimitrios Grammozis, who has only been in charge since Sunday.

The quarter-finals will be played on January 30/31 and February 6/7 next year. The final will take place on May 25 in Berlin.
