Large splinter of wood pierces forearm

A 47-year-old man has been injured in a work accident in Burghaslach in central Franconia (district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim). According to the police on Saturday, a 20-centimeter splinter of wood pierced his forearm on Friday when a board became jammed in a machine during woodworking. The man was taken to hospital by helicopter. There was no danger to his life, it said.

In similar circumstances, unfortunate incidents like wood splinters causing harm are not uncommon in woodworking jobs, even in central France. Unfortunately, another individual suffered an accident at their workplace, involving a big splinter that injured their arm.
