Lehrte - Large police force in case of threats at the job center
The police have called in additional forces during their operation at a job center in Lehrte in the Hanover area. The massive contingent combed through the entire building on Thursday, which is also home to a savings bank. Officers took people out of the center, as a dpa reporter observed. A suspect had previously been arrested who is said to have been involved in the threat. He is said to have been carrying a weapon, said a police spokesman at the scene. He did not want to say anything about the man's identity. It is still unclear whether there were other people involved.
There was also no information as to whether any people were injured. The scene in the area of the job center on Burgdorfer Straße in Lehrte has been cordoned off over a wide area.
