Come Sunday at 2 pm, thousands will gather in Freiburg to march against right-wing extremism under the slogan "We're your firewall." The protest's organizers have requested the presence of 20,000 participants on the city's streets.

With the EU and local elections quickly approaching on June 9th, it's crucial to make their voices heard, stated the demonstration's announcement. The event, supported by over 320 organizations, including SC Freiburg football club, unions, and churches, is not a new initiative for this alliance. They previously held a protest against right-wing extremism in February 3rd, when approximately 30,000 people joined forces in Freiburg. However, an organizing team spokeswoman asserted that more than 35,000 people participated in that occasion.
