Football team operates on a different schedule - Language course training certification for Hamburg EM assistants

In Hamburg, approximately 1600 volunteers will be enlisted for the 2024 European Football Championship. But after the tournament, the city wants to continue utilizing these enthusiastic individuals. To support this, they're offering them various training programs apart from the event.

These opportunities include becoming a referee or coach, attending first aid courses, and learning new languages. The city aims to "sustainably foster voluntary work" in Hamburg, as per a recent statement from the Senate. Even those who missed out on being chosen as EM volunteers can join in on this initiative.

Hamburg is one of ten host locations for the European Football Championship, occurring between June 14 and July 14. Four group matches and a quarter-final will be held at the Volksparkstadion. Furthermore, the Heiligengeistfeld will play host to a public viewing of all German matches and the five games featuring Hamburg. The Fan Zone, open to up to 10,000 visitors, is right next to the viewing area to screen all knockout games of the tournament.
