For 20 years, a man in Regensburg lived as a subtenant in a semi-detached house together with the landlady. In March, he stabbed the 79-year-old to death after an argument. According to the indictment, she had asked him to move out. Because the woman's two granddaughters had also moved into the house in the meantime, the 53-year-old is said to have felt put down. The landlady was like a mother to him.

The verdict is due to be delivered on Monday (09:00) at Regensburg District Court. The public prosecutor's office is assuming murder, namely insidious and with base motives. According to media reports, the defense lawyer pleaded manslaughter. The man had also attacked and injured one of the granddaughters and made an emergency call after the crime. He confessed during the trial.
