- Lake Constance tragically claims life of swimmer
In an unfortunate boating mishap on the Austrian part of Lake Constance, a 29-year-old German man tragically passed away. He had rented a motorboat in Bavarian Lindau and was cruising towards Bregenz on Lake Constance, accompanied by his 35-year-old girlfriend and her two kids, as per the police statement.
While enjoying the lake, he decided to take a swim and encountered some trouble. Alarmed onlookers on the shore alerted the emergency services. Divers managed to haul him out of the water, but resuscitation attempts en route to the hospital failed to revive him. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The incident further highlights the potential dangers associated with swimming in open waters. Despite the timely intervention of emergency services, the accidents resulted in tragic consequences.
