In Great Britain, the House of Commons is a significant part of the Parliament, where political decisions are made. During the recent Parliamentary election, Tony Blair, a former Prime Minister, was not a candidate. Instead, the opposition leader, Keir Starmer, represented the Labor party, which emerged as the favorite to win. If elections had taken place then, Starmer might have been sworn in as the new Prime Minister.
