The Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency will present the new unemployment figures for November in Rhineland-Palatinate on Thursday (10.00 a.m.). Once again, fewer unemployed people were counted in the federal state in October. According to the figures, around 111,100 men and women were without a job as of October 12 - around 1,200 fewer than four weeks previously.
However, there were 8,500 more unemployed compared to the previous year. According to the regional directorate, the unemployment rate was 4.9 percent in October and 4.6 percent a year ago.
The presentation of the new labor market statistics highlights the overall decrease in unemployment in Rhineland-Palatinate this year. Despite the reduction in unemployment in October, the labor market still faces a significant number of unemployed individuals, with approximately 111,100 people jobless as of October 12.
