Stefan Kuntz, the new sports director at HSV, is sacrificing time with family during his first few weeks on the job. He stated, "I have pre-determined priorities in my role that require immediate attention. It's beneficial that I'm not here with my family in Hamburg, as I'm available for 12 to 14 hours a day."

Speaking to the Hamburg second-division football club in a recent interview, the 61-year-old added, "I'm choosing to take in a lot of information before making any judgments." Kuntz aims to "see everything first and get a complete understanding" of his position at HSV.

In addition to his duties at the football club, Kuntz will also be working as a TV expert for RTL during the European Championship. Previously, he coached the German U21 national team. Kuntz officially replaced Jonas Boldt in Hamburg last week.

After their sixth unsuccessful attempt to return to the Bundesliga, HSV had failed to make the cut. During his presentation, Kuntz expressed his intent to collaborate with coach Steffen Baumgart. "I view it as a strength to allow the coach to pursue his vision. I consider myself more as a sounding board, to share my observations on various matters. I see myself as a reflective mirror that occasionally asks questions and provides encouragement," he shared.
