Kübler and Keitel injured: "On their last legs"
SC Freiburg will be without Lukas Kübler and Yannik Keitel for the time being. Full-back Kübler broke his toe in training and will be out for two or three weeks, said Freiburg coach Christian Streich during the 3-1 defeat at RB Leipzig on Sunday evening. Midfielder Keitel had to miss out again with adductor problems. Keitel had only recently recovered.
"We're running on our last legs," said Streich in view of injuries and the program with the Bundesliga and Europa League. "Now you can only pray that the players don't come back from the national team injured, that worries me."
With eleven points from 14 games, Sport-Club go into the international break in eighth place in the table. On November 25, Streich's team will resume with a home match against SV Darmstadt 98.
Given the current injuries and the demanding schedule with the Bundesliga and Europa League, SC Freiburg's coach, Streich, expressed concern, stating, "We're running on our last legs." With Lukas Kübler out for a few weeks due to a broken toe and Yannik Keitel still battling adductor problems, Freiburg will miss these key players for their upcoming matches in the Bundesliga.
