Kubicki went on a cruise ship for an appearance as an author

FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki has received part of the trip for free for an appearance on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. It is correct that Kubicki appeared on a talk show hosted by Sabine Christiansen on the "Europa 2", his office announced on Sunday in response to an inquiry. "In accordance with the contract concluded in February 2023, he was invited as the author of the "Spiegel" bestseller "Sagen, was Sache ist". No fee was paid. However, it is customary for board and lodging to be covered in such agreements."

The Bild newspaper had previously reported on the trip and Kubicki's appearance, who had been introduced as vice president of the Bundestag and deputy chairman of the FDP. He had lashed out at Green Economy Minister Robert Habeck and indirectly called for his resignation.

"The fact that Mr. Kubicki said "heating law gone or Habeck gone" is a shortened version of what was said," the FDP politician's office announced. Kubicki would like the Green coalition partner to adopt the same realism in energy policy that he would like to see in migration policy. He believes: "In view of the challenging budget situation, it would make sense to at least suspend the Building Energy Act. Robert Habeck will certainly be aware of this."

Kubicki's appearance on the "Europa 2" cruise ship, sponsored in part by the FDP, came after his controversial comments about Green Economy Minister Robert Habeck. During his time at the Bundestag, Kubicki advocated for a pause in the implementation of the Building Energy Act due to the challenging budget situation.
