People - Krumbiegel and OK Kid question the "festival of love"

Prinzen singer Sebastian Krumbiegel (57) and the Giessen pop band OK Kid ("Grundlos") want to draw attention to the problematic situation in many families with their critical Christmas song "Fest der Liebe". "Christmas is always somehow mined. The "festival of love" can quickly become a family trap," Krumbiegel told the German Press Agency. "Many people know it, but often don't want to admit it."

The song, in which the Prinzen frontman contributes the choruses, is about a family that is at odds at heart and tries to keep up the appearance of an intact family, especially on the outside - which fails badly at Christmas.

Stories from their environment confirm that there are many of these cases nowadays, explained OK Kid singer Jonas Schubert. "This song is also intended to be a bit of a counterbalance to the other Christmas songs dripping with harmony and superficiality."
