German Football League - Krösche urges Eintracht for "greater intensity".

Eintracht Frankfurt isn't feeling down about not making it to the Champions League. Sports director Markus Krösche expressed his excitement about partnering in the Europa League during their closing press conference of the Bundesliga season. "I'm really looking forward to the Europa League. I think the Europa League is an incredible competition for us," noted Kroesche. He recalled their championship win in this competition back in 2022.

Since Borussia Dortmund didn't win the UCL final against Real Madrid, Frankfurt will remain in the Europa League qualification for next season. Had Dortmund won, they would have grabbed the sixth spot in the Bundesliga.

He commented about the UCL's potential financial benefits, stating, "The Champions League would've been a massive financial story for us," but highlighted that playing in the UCL requires a high level of consistency and structure, something they need to work on.

He pointed out the need for more scoring opportunities and conversions, emphasizing that their attack and consistency must improve significantly. "We want to keep this team together, because we had so many changes last year," he reassured. But he didn't deny the possibility of star players departing, mentioning, "In general, we need to generate transfer funds."

The primary focus for signing new players will be in the center of the team. National player Pascal Groß, who's expressed interest in returning to Germany and playing for Eintracht, is in negotiations. The 32-year-old midfielder has been with Brighton & Hove Albion in England since 2017, with a contract running until 2025.
