Education - Kretschmann: New G9 model will not come soon
The planned conversion of the school system in the south-west to a new form of nine-year grammar school will take time. Minister President Winfried Kretschmann said on Tuesday that he could hardly imagine that this would be possible for the coming school year. He could not give a time frame for the reform. It also depends on resources, said the Green politician.
According to a resolution passed by the green-black government coalition, Baden-Württemberg wants to develop a new model for a nine-year grammar school. However, they do not want a return to the G9 of the 1990s. What exactly this means remains to be seen.
