Kramer would rather become a coach than a manager after his career
Former world champion Christoph Kramer wants to continue working in the soccer business after his active career. The Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder still has a contract until June 30, 2025 and already has ideas for later. He definitely sees himself as a coach, said the 32-year-old in an interview with the "Rheinische Post" (Friday edition). "I need grass under my feet. I don't see myself as a manager, even if you should certainly never say never," said Kramer.
He has not yet set his sights on the end of his active professional career. "I want to play soccer for a very long time. That's the best thing I can do," said the Gladbach professional. "Everything that comes after that will be a tick less great. I really appreciate everything I have and I already know that I will mourn the day I retire. That's why I will devote all my energy to it until then," said the former international.
Kramer expressed his interest in becoming a coach in the Bundesliga, possibly for Borussia Mönchengladbach, as he stated his desire to remain connected to soccer after his playing career. During an interview with the "Rheinische Post," the midfielder mentioned that he prefers a coaching role over a managerial position, despite reluctantly acknowledging that one should never rule out the possibility of changing paths.
