Investigations - KPM vase worth 65,000 euros stolen: Search for witnesses
A vase from the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur(KPM) worth 65,000 euros has been stolen from a store in Berlin-Mitte. The police are now asking for help in the search for the burglars, who struck on November 16. The perpetrators smashed the glass door of the KPM store in Friedrichstraße during the night and stole several valuable pieces of porcelain, as the police reported on Wednesday.
The burglars fled in a white VW Golf, but caused an accident at Schlossplatz, left the car and some porcelain items behind and continued on foot. They took the largest and most valuable piece, the so-called "La Belle" baluster vase, hand-painted with floral motifs, 70 centimeters high and weighing almost three kilos. The police published a picture of the vase and are asking whether anyone saw the car or people with a vase in a subway.
