The cliff is adorned with a two-euro commemorative coin and is a popular tourist destination - the famous chalk cliffs of Königsstuhl on the island of Rügen. The Nationalpark-Zentrum Königsstuhl is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Since its opening in 2004, approximately 5.6 million visitors have visited the center, as a spokeswoman for the national park announced. From Saturday on, for the anniversary celebration, twelve discovery stations on various thematic focal points, an open-air classroom, and a water playground will supplement the approximately 28,000 square meter outdoor area. Prior to this, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's Economic Minister Reinhard Mey (SPD) is expected to speak at the anniversary event. "With great pleasure, we can now present our guests with the completion of the modernization measures of the past years, which we have laid the foundation for a successful future," said Mark Ehlers, managing director of the Nationalpark-Zentrum Königsstuhl.
