German Football League - Kompany seeks out the most motivated athletes in FC Bayern.

Bayern's new coach, Vincent Kompany, aims to understand his players in a relaxed manner.

He stated during his presentation at Bundesliga team FC Bayern in Munich, "I'm not going to make any major changes. I just want to find out who is most eager to represent this club and achieve success."

Kompany made no exception for any specific player from the existing squad. "I'm thrilled to work with all of them," the Belgian added, describing his approach as one that wants his team to play "boldly" and generally "aggressively" with the ball. "I spent my childhood on the streets of Brussels, playing on them," said the 38-year-old, who during his active career as a center-back experienced numerous triumphs. "I want the Bayern players to be brave," he said.

S Sports director Max Eberl confirmed that the new coach would be actively involved in player selection. "This is a significant advancement," Eberl stated, without mentioning any names. There are, in fact, "no strike lists," but there are players "who it may be more difficult for," he added. This information will be shared with the professionals.

Following a season without a championship title since 2012, rumors of a major team overhaul had circulated about record champions Bayern. Kompany was appointed the successor of Thomas Tuchel after weeks of searching and withdrawals from other candidates. Kompany signed a contract with Munich that extends until June 30, 2027. It is claimed that Bayern paid a release fee of ten to twelve million euros for the former defender.

Eberl hopes that Kompany's arrival will bring more stability and unity to the team. "That's our chance to get back on track and become one again. That's what I envision in general — that we as Bayern Munich can only succeed as a club if we support our coach and provide him with the necessary assistance," he said.

Eberl described Kompany as a "young coach with an incredible personality." "We as Bayern Munich can only succeed like every other club in the world if we stick together. We need to make that happen," said Eberl. Of course, this includes working through difficult situations. "At Bayern, a defeat is a defeat," said Eberl.

The coach is, in Eberl's opinion, "the most important part of the entire process." However, it is not his responsibility alone. "But it was not my decision to change coaches so frequently," Eberl noted.

Consequently, Eberl concluded, "The coach is the most crucial factor in the entire process for me, but he is not solely to blame."
