Second-tier German League - Klose begins his 1 FC Nuremberg stint with great enthusiasm.

Miroslav Klose will now helm 1. FC Nuremberg as their head coach. During his unveiling at the lower-tier club, the 46-year-old evaded any mention of a quick return to the Bundesliga. "Our goal is to succeed as soon as we can," said the 2014 World Cup gold medalist and World Cup all-time top scorer. Not one for idle talk, he deemed it presumptuous to discuss immediate promotion. Instead, he emphasized, "We shouldn't set our sights too high."

Klose replaces Cristian Fiel, who moved to Hertha BSC midway through his contract in the 2. Liga. The "Club" finished twelfth under Fiel in the last season. Klose has penned a two-year deal. The former top-level striker shared, "I'm brimming with energy and I will work passionately." The Nuremberg players start their preseason on June 24th.

Chatzialexiou: Klose stands out

Joti Chatzialexiou, the club's recently appointed sports director, has praised the addition of Klose. "Miro brings great charm to our city and region, which is great for stirring up enthusiasm," he stated at 47-years of age, previously enjoying a diverse sports career at the DFB for two decades before joining Nuremberg.
