Kitchen fire in Hamburg: Woman pours water on heated oil

A young woman has been slightly injured in a kitchen fire in Hamburg's Wandsbek district. The 20-year-old had poured water onto hot oil early on Saturday evening, according to the police. This led to a deflagration. The 20-year-old was taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The "Hamburger Morgenpost" had previously reported on the incident.

The fire department was quickly called to manage the kitchen fire caused by the deflagration. Due to the emergencies, the surrounding area was temporarily evacuated.
