Fire department operation - Kindergarten on fire in the Black Forest: No injuries
A kindergarten caught fire on Tuesday in St. Blasien in the district of Waldshut. The affected part of the building was completely destroyed, but the two teachers and ten children were able to leave the building in time, said a police spokesperson. Rescue workers examined and treated them in a nearby hall. There were no injuries. However, one firefighter slightly injured his leg during the firefighting operation.
The teachers had noticed the fire in the morning. It was initially unclear exactly where it started and what could have caused the fire. The building was a village community center, which houses the kindergarten group as well as clubs and the fire department. The entire building was badly damaged by the fire.
